In February 2019 the head of the AFA project, Dr. Phanuel Osweto, visited the project in Kenya together with friends from the Czech Republic and Austria. We are very grateful to Mr. Jiří Kovář and Mr. Rainer Miksche, who financially supported our three programs.
They bought a new copier machine for the IT centre and decided to support students and the remuneration of teachers both in the IT centre and at the Vijito secondary school. Mr. Jiří Kovář immediately started supporting the education of three girls — two in colleges and one in high school — and finances the work of an additional teacher in the IT centre. Mr. Rainer promised to support the teachers of our secondary school and to seek further support for the IT centre in Austria.
Their visit opened the door to further plans for supporting the project. We hope that such cooperation and friendship will lead to greater support and a big change for the beneficiaries of our project.
