The year 2026 marks another important milestone for Project Africa for Africa. We are proud to celebrate the graduation of 44 students who successfully completed our one-year computer training programme in Kenya and received their certificates.
This is one of the highest numbers of graduates in the history of our IT programme, which has been providing practical computer training since 2010. During the graduation ceremony, certificates were presented by the Head of the Project, Dr. Phanuel Osweto, in the presence of the Project’s leadership and board members.
The achievement of these 44 graduates is more than a celebration of certificates. Through the training, students have gained valuable computer and digital skills that can support them in further education, employment, entrepreneurship and everyday professional life. In today’s digital world, computer literacy opens doors to new opportunities and gives young people greater confidence to pursue their goals.
Education That Changes Lives
The graduation ceremony was also an opportunity to celebrate the wider impact of our education support programme. Former and current beneficiaries joined the event to share their stories and express their gratitude.
Among them was Dr. Joyce Masha, who proudly shared her joy at becoming a medical doctor after receiving educational support through Project Africa for Africa over the years. We also celebrated Alice Lesirma, who completed her university studies and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Kenya School of Accountancy. Having been supported from high school through university, Alice’s journey is a powerful example of what long-term investment in education can achieve.
We warmly congratulate Joyce and Alice and wish them every success as they begin the next chapter of their professional lives.
Standing with Vulnerable Children
For many years, Project Africa for Africa has also supported children at Scream Africa Children’s Home, providing assistance with food, clothing, education and other essential needs. Some of the children joined us at the graduation ceremony and delighted guests with a wonderful performance.
Since our establishment in 2009, our work has continued to grow. By 2026, we have:
- Trained and graduated 44 computer students in 2026 alone.
- Supported the high school, college and university education of more than 65 students.
- Assisted more than 400 children who have been hosted by Scream Africa Children’s Home over the years.
- Helped young people gain practical skills and access opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship.
- Contributed to improving the lives and economic prospects of disadvantaged families and communities.
