In February 2025, I received an invitation to present our project at the Hotel School in Poděbrady. Within the “World School” program, one of the teachers had the idea of holding a seminar to introduce our project to the students and the school community. The presentation was well attended by the students, who were inspired to get involved and to plan how to support us.
It was amazing to see that they actually carried out their plan: just before Easter 2025 they baked and sold various confectionery to raise funds for our project. This money will go to support our children’s home in Kenya and the Computer Centre in Nairobi.
We are grateful that we can cooperate with the Hotel School in Poděbrady, from which we received 7,024 CZK from the “Baking gingerbread for Africa” event in April 2025.
